International Space Station school contact has been planned Wednesday 8
January with participants at Tecnico Industriale Galileo Ferraris, San
Giovanni Valdarno, Italy. The event is scheduled to begin at
approximately12:21 UTC, which is 13:21 CEWT.
The contact will be a direct between IR0ISS and IQ5GX. The contact is expected to be conducted in English.
The contact will probably be broadcast on the livestream video server at https://www.livestream.com/amsat_italia
School Information:
The
Technical Institute Galileo Ferraris is active on the territory of the
Arno Valley since 1979 and has trained over the years the engineers of
the many industrial enterprises in the area. The technical institute in
fact offers a solid general education and training of scientific and
technical basis necessary for both a rapid entry into the world of work
and the professions and for the continuation of studies at university .
In particular, enables the student to face the entrance test for the
various scientific disciplines . Its strength lies in teaching
laboratory accompanied by a solid theoretical and scientific.
Branches of study offered the institute is currently divided into the following specializations:
• Electronics and electrical engineering.
• Chemistry, Materials and Biotechnology
• Data processing and telecommunications
The
time is for all specializations of 32 hours per week , spread over four
days per week of five hours (from 8.10 am to 13.10) and two days a week
for six hours (from 8.10 am to 14.10 ).
The school is equipped
with several laboratories and a large gym. Among these , for the two
years , we have the laboratories of Physics, Chemistry , Drawing- CAD ,
Computer Science , for the three years, Chemistry, Electronics,
Electrical Engineering , Computer Science, Mathematics , Technology
Design and Planning , Automatic Systems , Information systems.
In
addition, the active school every year internships at companies in the
area and technical projects in cooperation with such companies.

5. How long does it take you to regain all your physical ability when you come back to Earth?
6. What types of experiments are you currently running? Which are the most useful for mankind?
7. What do you do when you get sick in space? Do you need a doctor on board the ISS?
8. Have you ever been scared to fly in space?
9. How long are the missions?
10. What is the strangest question you have been asked by students?
11. Do you believe that someday man will discover other planets that support life?
12. How often do micro- meteoroids collide with your space shuttle? How difficult is to avoid them?
13. Will it be possible for astronauts to land on other planets in the future?
14. How is the International Space Station able to keep in contact with the Mission Control Center?
15. What type of antennas do you use for it?
16. What kind of operating system do you use in the space station?
17. What are your daily tasks in the space station and how do you spend your free time?

An International Space Station school contact has been planned Tuesday 3 December with participants at Primary and Junior High Schools Complex in Brzeznica, Poland. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 08:27 UTC, which is 09:27 CEWT.
The contact will be a telebridge between NA1SS (Michael S. Hopkins KF5LJG) and K6DUE located in Maryland, USA. The contact is expected to be conducted in English.
The contact will probably be broadcast on EchoLink AMSAT (node 101 377) and JK1ZRW (node 277 208) Conference servers, as well as on IRLP Discovery Reflector 9010, and also on the local HAM repeater SR8K connected to EchoLink.

Students from the Primary and Junior High Schools Complex in Brzeznica are interested in Science, mainly Physics. They attend many additional lessons and educational projects connected with Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy, amateur radio communications and satellite communications. They participate in educational trips and tours. Teachers prepare lessons for students interested in astronomy. The school organizes additional activities with the support of the European Union, such as special classes involving astronomical sky observation.
Moreover, the school prepared a series of activities related to astronautics: amateur radio communications with the ISS, astronomy classes and observation of the passing Space Station, art competitions related to the cosmos and the space station, activities for senior students concerning the life of astronauts aboard the space station.

An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at and Junior High Schools Complex in Stobierna, Poland on 27 November. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 09:26 UTC, which is 10:26 CEWT.
The contact will be a telebridge between NA1SS and VK5ZAI. The contact is expected to be conducted in English.
The contact will probably be broadcast on EchoLink AMSAT (node 101 377) and JK1ZRW (node 277 208) Conference servers, as well as on IRLP Discovery Reflector 9010.
School Complex in Stobierna is composed of two main school levels: primary school and junior high school. The primary school attendants are six-year-old to twelve-year-old students, whereas, the junior high schools students are thirteen to sixteen years old. The second type of school puts more emphasis on Science (including Physics and Mathematics).
The students of these schools are interested in astronomical observations, thus they are eager to take part in special classes concerning such issues. Schools organized special classes associated with the astronomical observations of the sky. We organised a series of educational trips to places from which students observed the sky: in the stars, planets and satellites. These activities were integrated into daily school activities in the field of physics and astronomy. Because many schools participated in the project, we organized interschool competitions. Moreover school organized a series of competitions related to astronautics. For the youngest students there was a drawing contest, a contest for older students, multimedia presentations related to space flight and the history of the ISS.
Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:

Un émetteur-récepteur définit par logiciel complet qui
peut tenir sur une puce, c’est ce qu’Analog Devices vient de sortir . C'est un
rêve de constructeur , la compagnie le prétend .
Le nouveau venu, nommé le AD9361 , est un émetteur-récepteur , qui peut être configuré avec le logiciel, qui contient deux récepteurs indépendants et deux émetteurs indépendants fonctionnant simultanément .
A bord il y a aussi deux oscillateurs locaux indépendants, l'un pour la partie émetteur et l'autre pour la section de réception . La conception polyvalente permet à la puce de travailler avec les deux fréquences : Frequency Division Duplex ( FDD) et répartition dans le temps , Time Division Duplex (TDD ) .
Une autre caractéristique proposée par l’ADI est une large gamme de fréquences de 70 MHz à 6 GHz avec un pas de 2,5 Hz . La large bande passante rend le circuit utile dans de nombreuses applications, notamment dans les infrastructures de télécommunications, de tests et d'instruments de mesure et dans un contexte militaire.
L’ AD9361 est un émetteur-récepteur RF complet en une seule puce. C'est le rêve d'un architecte de RF, explique Matt un président de recherche dans un communiqué de presse d'Analog Devices . La société est détenue par National Instruments depuis 2010.
Fondamentalement, le circuit se compose d'un frontal RF en bande de base, un synthétiseur de fréquence, les deux CAN 12 bits et d'un récepteur de conversion directe. Le circuit prend en charge les bandes passantes des canaux programmables au-dessous de 200 kHz à 56 MHz. Cela offre une plus grande plage dynamique que les autres solutions sur le marché d’aujourd'hui , selon ADI .

Successful direct contact with Istituto Comprensivo Statale "E. Fermi - A. Oggioni" in Villasanta, Italy
16 September, 2013 at 08.04 UTC, 10.04 local time, Istituto Comprensivo Statale "E. Fermi - A. Oggioni" in Villasanta, Italy established a direct contact with ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano KF5KDP, onboard the International Space Station.
The Fermi-Oggioni Middle School is located in the centre of Villasanta, near Monza (Milano). There are 403 students and 43 teachers. One class (25 students) is involved in the project named "Space to Space". These students are thirteen years old and they are attending the third and final year of middle school.
Gianpietro Ferrario IZ2GOJ, ARISS mentor and radio contact coordinator, managed for a direct contact from the school in Villasanta, assisted by the ARISS Lombardia team. The questions were read by students at school. More than 100 students, parents, visitors and media attended he event (indirect attendance about 300).
The contact was established by IZ2GOJ in Villasanta. ARISS telebridge station IK1SLD in Casale Monferrato was connected per phone line with the school, ready to take over the radio link in case of problem. Contact was established with IRØISS at 08.04 UTC, 10.04 local time. Immediately after AOS, astronaut Luca Parmitano switched to backup channel following some noise heard onboard. Luca Parmitano answered 15 questions, and exchanged greetings with the school administrator before LOS. Signals from the ISS were loud and clear during most of the pass.

An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Scuola Media Statale Salvo DAcquisto, Cesano Maderno, Italy The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:18 UTC, which is 12:18 CEST.
The contact will be a telebridge operated by VK5ZAI, located in Kingston, southern Australia.

The contact will be broadcast on EchoLink AMSAT (node 101 377) and JK1ZRW (node 277 208) Conference servers, as well as on IRLP Discovery Reflector 9010.
Salvo DAcquisto Middle School is located in the centre of Cesano Maderno, not far from Monza (Milano). The school counts 558 students and 59 teachers. A class of 26 students will be involved in the project. These thirteen years old students are attending the third and final year of middle school.

ARISS is an international educational outreach program partnering the participating space agencies, NASA, Russian Space Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA, with the AMSAT and IARU organizations from participating countries.
ARISS offers an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking directly with crewmembers onboard the International Space Station. Teachers, parents and communities see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and crewmembers on ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science, technology and learning.

An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Scuola Media Statale Salvo DAcquisto, Cesano Maderno, Italy The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:18 UTC, which is 12:18 CEST.
The contact will be a telebridge operated by VK5ZAI, located in Kingston, southern Australia.
The event will be webcast on http://www.livestream.com/amsat_italia
The contact will be broadcast on EchoLink AMSAT (node 101 377) and JK1ZRW (node 277 208) Conference servers, as well as on IRLP Discovery Reflector 9010.
Salvo DAcquisto Middle School is located in the centre of Cesano Maderno, not far from Monza (Milano). The school counts 558 students and 59 teachers. A class of 26 students will be involved in the project. These thirteen years old students are attending the third and final year of middle school.
The contact is expected to be conducted in Italian by astronaut Luca Parmitano KF5KDP.
Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:

PAYSAGE BALLONS FRANÇAIS
PAYSAGE BALLONS-SONDES des RADIO AMATEURS FRANÇAIS
1- AVANT :
L’association ou le groupe monte un projet X en équipe
pendant un certain temps. Le jour du lâcher est décidé suivant les conditions
météo principalement.
Le ballon est lâché depuis un site proche d’une ou de
plusieurs stations de réception et un ou plusieurs véhicules participent à la
réception et aux recherches de récupération.
2- APRES : le
BHAF (Ballons-sondes des radio amateurs en France) propose plusieurs concepts qui vont
permettre d’élargir la participation des stations et des écouteurs à la
réception des données. Le serveur unique centralise les données reçues en temps
réel et redistribue les informations sur Internet à toutes les stations
radioamateurs et d’écoutes ainsi qu’aux internautes sur leur PC ou leur
téléphone portable. Il suffit de se connecter à l’adresse du site géré par le
serveur.
Non seulement l’information circule mais par
l’intermédiaire d’ Internet il est possible de faire connaître l’activité dans
le monde en temps réel.
Description du concept :
La localisation des équipements mis en œuvre :
1- l’association,
groupe ou club, qui gère le projet.
2- le ou les
véhicules ou relais qui participent au projet.
Jusque là il n’y a aucune différence avec le
précédent système (Avant).
3- l’association,
groupe, club ou les stations et écouteurs captent les données avec un logiciel
dédié, qui relie le PC à Internet à
l’adresse du serveur distant. Voir les
liaisons en bleu, ci dessus). Il s’agit de la fonction de l’étage (1) de
la « maison ».
Le serveur distant récupère les données en
temps réel et les informations de chaque
projet et rediffuse des résultats sous forme de cartes, de prévisions, de
graphiques sur un site vers les acteurs du projet, les stations et les
écouteurs mais aussi ceux
qui ne captent pas mais qui sont intéresser
pour suivre le déroulement d’un projet.

4- la
« maison » est accessible de l’extérieur par les portes (2), accès
exclusif vers la maison et (6)
qui sont un accès vers la maison et vers le gite.
5- le
« gite » est un serveur qui est principalement constitué d’archives
et de base de données sur les vols avec les trames reçues, les exploitations,
les résultats ou tout autre information ou documents utiles à l’activité.
L’intérêt pour les associations, groupes ou
clubs est de pouvoir trouver une foule de renseignements utiles aux projets, et
d’apporter aussi des éléments pour aider les autres projets.
La base de données comporte des fichiers,
textes, binaires, images, vidéos… dans les formats courants ainsi que des liens
vers d’autres bases de données ou sites des associations, groupes ou clubs.
Les passionnés de cette activité pourront
faire davantage d’échanges entre eux, et trouver des réponses à leur problème plus
rapidement.
Les écouteurs peuvent peu à peu s’initier au
radioamateurisme et en suivant une formation avec le RAF, passer leur examen
plus facilement car la motivation sera bien plus forte en contact avec d’autres
radioamateurs.
Les enseignants et les étudiants trouveront
dans cette base de données et les archives, matière à exploiter des paramètres
physiques réels, qui serviront dans les cours ou les préparations aux examens.
Rappel : les programmes traitent
ces questions, à tous les niveaux et pour beaucoup d’examen de sciences et
technologie des ingénieurs.
Une documentation sur les composants sera
mise à jour et regroupée pour un gain de temps, en abrégeant les recherches
longues et fastidieuses. Chacun pourra alimenter la base de données.
Les données de chaque vol pourront être
exploitées même si elles sont anciennes, elles seront toujours accessibles et
non pas perdues pour tout le monde.
La dénomination des paramètres mesurés pourra
être connue de tous, ce qui n’est pas le cas, car les responsables de projet,
ne diffusent pas toujours les noms des mesures que le ballon a réalisées. Ce
qui est bien dommage, pour la science !
Le téléchargement de toutes les données,
archives, documents, et accès aux calculs ainsi que la diffusion de tous les
logiciels est GRATUIT et LIBRE sans aucune inscription préalable, ni formulaire
à remplir.
Un forum et un TCHAT permanent sera établi
pour répondre à toutes les questions qui ne manquent pas d’être posées dans ces
matières très techniques. Les débutants trouveront une aide rapide et
indispensable pour continuer sans soucis, et les chevronnés pourront intervenir
pour les guider. Une sorte d’assistance, anti stress !
Une personne isolée pourra rapidement
s’intégrer à un groupe proche de chez lui ou même à distance participer à un
projet.
Pour participer au remplissage de la base de
données (GITE) ou proposer des pages vers la MAISON ou le GITE, rien de plus
simple, il suffit de les transmettre au WEBMASTER de la maison, qui s’occupera
de la mise en page sur le site.
Les pages sur la METEO seront indispensables
et les connaissances sur l’atmosphère, ses constituants et les prévisions
seront développées largement et en profondeur à partir des organismes professionnels
et des amateurs connaisseurs dans le domaine de la météo. Les ballons
alimenteront la base de données avec des informations météo utiles à tous et
accessibles à tous.
Il y a peut être des oublis sur cette
description, veuillez m’en excuser. Si vous avez
des remarques à formuler au sujet du concept,
je vous prie de bien vouloir en faire part au BRAF. Pour donner encore, une information, à ce
sujet, si vous pensez que
pour lâcher ou récupérer des ballons, il
n’est pas utile de se fatiguer dans des complications et que de toute façon,
vous êtes heureux chez vous, il faut que vous
réalisez les possibilités immenses apportées
par la jonction des moyens mis à disposition par Internet. Que les applications
sont, ou vont arriver et que les projets de ballons seront de plus en plus
passionnants pour vous, votre équipe et les Internautes qui viendront vous
rejoindre, à commencer par les jeunes qui sont
branchés uniquement sur le WEB.
Ils seront branché sur le WEB et sur vos
activités ballons-sondes des radio amateurs aussi, et constitueront les futurs radioamateurs
de demain.
Pour information, le concept décrit sur cette
page, est déjà opérationnel au Royaume Unis, depuis quelques années déjà avec
un succès qui n’est pas à démentir.
Le challenge qui s’offre à nous en France,
est de mettre en place un système analogue avec la maitrise de toutes les
« tuyauteries » ou bien s’incliner et se servir du système en place
qui sera de toute façon « saturé » très rapidement.
En effet, vous avez remarqué l’accroissement
du nombre de projets, qui deviennent quotidiens et l’implication de plus en
plus de pays.
Ce qui ne veut pas dire, qu’il faut
s’abstenir de pratiquer ce qui existe déjà, au contraire ! Une collaboration de tous est absolument
nécessaire puisque l’ Espace : l’ Atmosphère pour le domaine des ballons est
le terrain commun de toutes les expérimentations ! Le challenge est immense, j’en conviens, mais
les équipes, si organisées soient-elle ne peuvent plus compter que sur
elle-même, le temps est venu
de construire « la maison des
ballons » !
