event is scheduled for Tuesday 29 September at 12.56 UTC, which is
14.56 CEST. This will be a telebridge contact between NA1SS and LU1CGB.<br /><br />The event will be webcast on <a class="zUrl" href="http://ariss.pzk.org.pl/live/" target="_blank">http://ariss.pzk.org.pl/live/</a><br /><br />Nowogard
Union Schools consists of two schools: Junior High School No 2 and II
High School. The school is situated in Nowogard in West Pomernia
Province. Our students are 13 19 years old. II High School provides
students mainly with humanities, science and mathematics curriculum.<br /><br />In
December 2013 the schools joined the ARISS School Contacts project. In
2004 the Nicolaus Copernicus School Amateur Radio called SP1KMK was
established. Since then our students have been keenly developing their
radio ham interests. Students have taken part in astronomy and
astronautics projects such as: MiniSat (they sent their own experiments
in near space via balloons thanks to Copernicus Project Foundation),
EarthKam (pupils ordered images of Earth taken from the ISS). There was
also an educational project called “SUPERCOMPUTER” in which our students
gained some knowledge of the latest wireless networking technologies.<br /><br />Apart
from the above projects, they have made numerous astronomical
observations and got involved in astrophotography. Moreover, we hosted
some members of Polish Amateur Astronomers Society who showed at the
school the largest amateur telescope called “SOWA”. Within the project,
Nowogard Union Schools started to cooperate with some institutes of
higher education such as West Pomeranian University of Technology in
Szczecin and University of Szczecin. We also has established cooperation
with NASA staff and conducted a video conference with a NASA
astronauts’ trainer and a NASA flight engineer. There have been some
school trips to 21. Air Force Base in Œwidwin and Dolna Odra Power
Station in Gryfino organized to expand students’ technological and
technical knowledge.<br /><br />Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:<br /><br />1. Weronika (14): What kind of technology is used to have Internet on the station?<br /><br />2.
Mateusz (16): What is the shortest time to leave the station, for
example in case of sending back to Earth a seriously ill astronaut?<br /><br />3.
Konrad (15): In your opinion, what module of the ISS is the most
heavily loaded with electronics and what tasks does it serve?<br /><br />4.
Rados³aw (16): Does the station have cosmic rays detectors and how do
they indicate that the radiation dose inside the station is higher than
acceptable?<br /><br />5. Damian (15): What astronauts have to do in case of fire on the station?<br /><br />6. Jakub (14): Do astronauts have free time?<br /><br />7. Kornelia (13): What is the composition and pressure of the atmosphere inside the space station?<br /><br />8. Norbert (15): What is the most interesting or astonishing Earth atmospheric phenomenon you have ever observed?<br /><br />9. Szymon (14): What is the most difficult task you did on the station?<br /><br />10. Norbert (18): Do all members of the crew sleep at the same time?<br /><br />11. Kacper (17): Is it true that pizza and carbonated drinks are forbidden on the ISS? Could you explain why?<br /><br />12. Hubert (17): How is the station provided with electricity?<br /><br />13. Oktawiusz (15): What are negative symptoms of being under Zero Gravity for too long?<br /><br />14. Izabela (17): Is everyone on the station trained to take a spacewalk, if necessary?<br /><br />ARISS
is an international educational outreach program partnering the
volunteer support and leadership from AMSAT and IARU societies around
the world with the ISS space agencies partners: NASA, Russian Space
Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA.<br /><br />ARISS offers an opportunity for
students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking
directly with crewmembers on-board the International Space Station.
Teachers, parents and communities see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and
crewmembers on ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science,
technology, and learning.<br /><br />73,<br /><br />Gaston Bertels – ON4WF<br />ARISS-Europe chairman<br />

International Space Station contact is planned for Space Jam 9, Rantoul,
Illinois, USA. The event is scheduled for Saturday August 8, 2015 at
approximately 16.58 UTC (18.58 CEST). This will be a telebridge radio
contact between OR4ISS and IK1SLD.<br /><br />The signals from space will be audible in Europe on 145.800MHz FM.<br /><br />Greetings
to all stations from the participants and volunteers of Space Jam 9 in
Rantoul, Illinois. Though primarily a weekend Scouting and STEM
education event, we are open to all interested youth. Boy Scouts and
Girl Scouts from 24 states have come together in an educational and fun
format to learn more about the life skills that will prepare them for
the increasingly complex technological future. Training is our theme
this year. While it is well known that Scouting teaches pioneering
skills like camping and wilderness survival, the new pioneers and
wilderness are in outer space and we are working hard at 44 technology
oriented Merit Badges and activities, plus some fun things like the Duct
Tape Merit Badge. Talking to the astronauts on the ISS is an
unforgettable part of the experience at Space Jam and that's next on our
list. We will not know for many years whether one of these youths
becomes an astronaut themselves but it is certain that they are all part
of tomorrow's leaders.<br />Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:<br /><br />1. How do you train to sleep in space?<br />2. What type of engine propulsion will we use to go to Mars?<br />3. Could we drop containers to the Mars surface but leave the engine in orbit?<br />4. Would a steam powered train whistle work in space?<br />5. How long did you train for this mission?<br />6. Could ribbons be stretched to an Earth orbiting station & used as tracks to reach orbit?<br />7. Could ribbons be stretched to a Mars orbiting station & used as tracks to reach orbit?<br />8. If a ship left Mars, traveling 17,500 mph, what is the shortest time it could take to reach Earth.<br />9. Imagine you are the engineer on a shuttle that goes back and forth between Earth orbit and Mars orbit; what year would it be?<br />10. Are you still training for future missions?<br />11. What is your favorite food on the space station?<br />12. How many bits of space junk does NASA track & how can we reduce the problem?<br />13. Are there earth-bound disabilities that might be irrelevant in space weightlessness?<br />14. Is there art on the walls of the ISS or do you see examples of the Arts in space?<br />15. If we found cave art on Mars what do you imagine it would depict?<br />16. Are there any musical instruments on the ISS?<br />17.
Every discipline can be an art; from the people who sew the stitches on
a space suit to a computer programmer, aren't we all artists when we do
our best? 18. The theme for SJ 10 will be the Arts; should STEM
education be changed to STEAM?<br />19. What music do you listen to on the ISS?<br />20. What is your favorite form of art?<br />21. How is the espresso machine working?<br />22. What fresh foods do you most look forward to on delivery day?<br />23. When will we first set foot on Mars?<br />24. When will we go back to the Moon?<br />ARISS
is an international educational outreach program partnering the
volunteer support and leadership from AMSAT and IARU societies around
the world with the ISS space agencies partners: NASA, Russian Space
Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA.<br /><br />ARISS offers an opportunity for
students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking
directly with crewmembers on-board the International Space Station.

<span style="background-color: blue;"><span style="color: yellow;"><b>LANCEMENT ARIANESPACE VA224 - Star One C4 et MSG-4</b></span></span><br />
<br />
Lancement
<br />
<br />
Ce 3ème
<br />
<br />
satellites d’Embratel Star One.
<br />
<br />
Construit
<br />
Président Directeur Général d’Arianespace, a déclaré : « Arianespace
<br />
Launchers ; les constructeurs de satellites SSL et Thales Alenia Space ;

<span style="background-color: blue;"><span style="color: yellow;"><b>ARIANESPACE FLIGHT VA224 - Star One C4 & MSG-4 </b></span></span><br />
<br />
VA224: Arianespace launches two geostationary satellites, for telecom services and meteorology <br />
Arianespace
has successfully launched two geostationary satellites: Star One C4 for
the private operator Embratel Star One, the leading satellite
communications company in South America, and MSG-4 for EUMETSAT, the
European organization dedicated to weather, climate and environmental
monitoring.<br />
<br />
The third Ariane 5 launch of the year took place on
July 15 at 6:42 pm local time in Kourou, French Guiana, from the Guiana
Space Center (CSG). It clearly illustrates Arianespace's dual
responsibility: to guarantee independent access to space for Europe, and
to establish its position as a benchmark in the commercial launch
services market.<br />
<br />
30 years of joint success with Embratel Star One<br />
<br />
The
Brazil-based Embratel Star One is the leading satcom operator in South
America. Star One C4, built by Space Systems/Loral (SSL), is the
company's tenth satellite. It will increase Embratel Star One's telecom,
broadcast and Internet service capacity in Brazil, other South American
countries, Mexico and the United States. Arianespace and Embratel Star
One have teamed up successfully for the last 30 years, with Arianespace
launching all of the company's satellites.<br />
<br />
With Star One C4,
Arianespace and SSL celebrate their 50th joint mission to geostationary
transfer orbit (GTO). Arianespace's current launch manifest includes 14
more SSL-built satellites to be launched.<br />
<br />
Arianespace and EUMETSAT team up to improve life on Earth<br />
<br />
Built
by Thales Alenia Space, the MSG-4 satellite will carry on the mission
assigned to EUMETSAT's Second Generation satellites. EUMETSAT is the
European Meteorological Satellite organization, dedicated to monitoring
weather, climate and environmental conditions. Its meteorological
observation services, primarily intended for Europe, will also extend to
encompass Africa (including Reunion Island), the Atlantic Ocean and the
eastern part of South America.<br />
<br />
The partnership between
Arianespace and EUMETSAT, serving all European citizens, reaches back to
1981; MSG-4 is the tenth Meteosat satellite to be launched by
Arianespace.<br />
<br />
Shortly after the announcement that the two
satellites had been injected into orbit, Arianespace Chairman and CEO
Stéphane Israël said: "Arianespace is very proud of having successfully
completed this evening's dual launch, orbiting the Star One C4 satellite
for the private operator Embratel Star One, to bolster its position in
the Americas; and the MSG-4 satellite for the European organization
EUMETSAT, which will be able to commission the fourth and last of its
second-generation satellites. I would like to thank our customers for
their continuing loyalty, which has been unflagging for more than 30
years. Along with them, we are very honored to launch these satellites
that will improve life on Earth and support sustainable development,
just a few months before the COP 21 climate change conference.<br />
<br />
"I
would also like to thank all our partners who contributed to this sixth
launch of the year, the 66th successful launch in a row and the 80th
overall for Ariane 5: ESA, prime contractor for the Ariane program; all
European companies who contribute to Ariane under the direction of
industrial prime Airbus Safran Launchers; the satellite manufacturers
SSL and Thales Alenia Space; CNES-CSG and companies at the launch base;
and of course the men and women of Arianespace, whose commitment and
professionalism are clearly reflected in the success of this sixth
launch of the year."<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Des modifications vont se faire
prochainement sur le site de Radioamateur France … Cela prendra
